Reviews– Ricoh Americas is expanding its line of A4 MFPs with the introduction of a new color multifunction printer, the Ricoh MP C306 31 ppm that prints and scans up to 8.5 “x 14”. It is also the first Ricoh device to incorporate the Ricoh 10.1 “smart operator panel as a standard feature. The smart operator panel features a tablet-like operation that allows users to drag, drop, rotate, and slide to capture And managing documents.The application for printing and scanning Ricoh Smart Devices also provides mobile connectivity for smartphone users and tablets while the built-in web browser connects Internet users including Ricoh’s Integrated Environment Cloud (ICE) as well as Other cloud-based services.
Measuring 20.1 “wide x 23.1” deep x 19.9 “high, the C306 MP is designed to serve as a compact multifunction copier/printer for small and medium businesses.
It supports Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, allowing users of NFC-enabled smartphones and tablets using the Ricoh Smart Device Connector application to control the MFP and send print jobs from their NFC-enabled mobile devices. An optional NFC card reader also allows users to simply slip their company’s NFC-issued ID card into the multifunction printer for user authentication.
Ricoh also says the MP C306 is one of the most efficient A4 color multifunction desktop devices with faster print/copy time to reduce power consumption. Other new features include:
- The paper poster mode, which allows users to convert a standard-sized document into a poster created by the combination of nine sheets.
- Quiet mode for quiet printing in libraries and meeting rooms.
- Device Software Manager, a PC-based utility that automates and simplifies printer driver and installation updates.
- Integrated applications to simplify tasks such as copying ID cards and Scan to Folder.
- 320 GB standard hard drive and Java embedded to a ready-made multifunction desktop solution.
