To achieve reasonable results you should use the normal quality; You can expect an average speed of 3.2 ppm, standard 4x6in photos take a 36.5sec to print while A4 photos take 1min 36sec.

We found the text to be sharp and easy to read, without deviation when printing in 12pt or 20pt. At 7pt, we saw some slight feathering on text characters, although this is expected because of the relatively large size of the ink droplet that this multifunctional 1.5 picolitres; higher-end multifunction like the Canon PIXMA MP980 use 1pl ink droplets. Colors are solid, though not as clear as they could and did not have the required accuracy for professional documents. However, the print quality will be enough for schoolwork and a small splash of color in the document.

Given the low price Brother MFC-250C, the photo print quality exceeded our expectations. Appeal not a problem and an attractive color if a little inaccurate. On close inspection, there is some visible grain and noise in the picture, which affects the gradient and dark colors. If the photo print quality is a priority, then the HP Photosmart C5380 will prove more useful.

Brother MFC-250C is quite a good base for document scanning. Photos lacking fine detail and colors are not accurate; scans have also changed too light. No automatic document feeder.
