Brother HL-L2350DW Reviews– When it comes to monochrome laser printers, Brother HL-L2350DW ($119.99), which is close to price, features, and editors’ Choice Canon ImageClass LBP151dw capacity, can get about entry-level. Also similar to another top selection, dell smart printer s2830dn, HL-L2350DW is fast for the lean price, and good overall editions, too. The Dell Smart Printer HL-L2350DW comes in a slightly higher purchase price, but the old offers significantly lower operating costs, so making it a better value over time.
Lean, No-Ridiculous Press
Measuring 7.2 by 14 (HWD) and weighing just 15.9 kilos, the HL-L2350DW multiple monochrome laser printer version is part of brother announced a few months ago. HL-L2350DW is one of the bundles low priced and therefore comes with one of the small feature sets. For example, paper processing consists of a 250-page input tray that is increased by a 1-page override slot, and the maximum monthly task cycle is 15,000 pages, and the recommended print volume is 2,000 pages.
The HL-L2350DW is quite similar to the size and weight of several of its competitors, ranging from just one inch or pound or two here and there. The model-to-model paper input capacity is similar. The paper input capacity of the Canon LBP151dw is the same as hl-L2350DW, while Dell’s S2830dn costs up to 350 pages divided between a 250-page cassette and a 100-page multipurpose tray. HP’s LaserJet Pro M102w paper capacity consists of a 150-page tray with 10-page overrides. As for task cycles, The Canon LBP151DW HL-L2350DW is the same; The Task cycle of the Dell S2830dn is 25,000 pages higher than hl-L2350DW and hp m102w’s is 5,000 pages lower.
Although the connectivity options at hl-L2350DW are robust enough, it is a bit minimalist. You’ll charge a number of third-party protocols, such as Connecting to a single pc via Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and USB (but no Ethernet), and a number of third-party protocols, such as Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, as well as parsed standard fares such as Brother iPrint&Scan, to print emails and attachments.
Quick for Price
Brother rates HL-L2350DW 32 pages per minute (ppm), a lot of processing oomph for a $120 printer, but not necessarily unusual. Canon’s LBP151dw, for example, is rated just 4ppm lower, and LBP251dw is just 2ppm lower. Dell rated the S2830dn at 3ppm higher and the HP M102w is 9ppm lower. The standard Intel Core i5-equipped test bed running Windows 10 Professional has been tested via USB using a pc. When I printed our 12-page Microsoft Word monochrome text document, I watched HL-L2350DW at 33ppm, 1ppm higher than its rating. It was 5.5ppm faster than the Canon LBP151dw and 4.5ppm slower than the Dell S2830dn. (Unfortunately, the BENCHMARK criteria for the HP M102w were tested under an earlier set, where rendering unsuitable test scores for comparison.)
When I combined the score of the previous 12-page Word document with several separate Printed results of the Acrobat, Excel, and PowerPoint document, hl-L2350DW’s PPM fell by about two-thirds to 10.3 ppm. It is about 3.6ppm slower than the Dell S2830dn and 0.9ppm behind the Canon LBP251dn.
To finish, I printed and scheduled two highly detailed and colorful 4-by-6-inch snapshots, which, of course, convert grayscale into these group printers. In this test, hl-L2350DW is about an average of about 12 seconds, right for a monochrome laser printer to print our instantaneous and run the mill for the machines discussed here.
Pretty Good Black-and-White Output
Considering that hl-L2350DW is not designed to extract stylish, glossy documents and images, it performs its parting task, quite well, in testing highly attractive and highly useful monochrome and grayscale documents. The text seemed to be well-shaped and legible down without magnification, making the text output more acceptable to anyone but perhaps the most rigorous applications than the small point sizes (about 6 or 7 points).
Our full-page Excel graphics and PowerPoint listeners are also good, too, just minimal and occasionally printed here with taping and there—hardly disruptive or outrageousizing documents themselves. I’ve also seen some sudden tint shifts from one gray shade to another, but, again, it’s hard enough to make the document unusable, and these small flaws occurred sparsely.
Photo output isn’t the best I’ve seen, though the printer is respected for this class, compared with some competing models like The Canon LBP251dw, and it’s definitely good enough to distribute at home, or perhaps embedded in larger documents. In general, HL-L2350dW prints well enough for what it is.
Operating Costs
The bases per page to use entry-level laser printers cost a lot, and, by 3.6 cents per page, hl-L2360DW operating costs are about the average for this class of printer. That’s the nature of this monster. If you plan to push the recommended 2,000-page-monthly print volume, it will cost about $720 each month to 2,000 pages. Obviously, paying a few hundred dollars more than the front for a higher volume printer makes sense (for example, the Dell Smart Printer S5830dn, 1 cent per page) makes sense to get a 2-3 cents lower toner per page.
On the other hand, if you print only a few hundred pages (for example, 200 to 300) each month, 3.6 cents per page does not consume your monthly budget. You should evaluate your needs and not be swayed by scarce price tags. That said, the HL-L2350DW was down 1.6 cents lower in operating costs of the Dell S2830dn, compared with 3.6 cents per page; Canon LBP251dw and LBP151dw’s are 0.6 cents and 0.1 cents lower, respectively; and hp m102w costs 0.4 cents per page higher.
Respected Budget Printer
I admit the entry-level single-function monochrome printer doesn’t have an exciting feature. But Brother HL-L2350DW does almost fast enough printing to hinge to be interesting. If you need awesome looking grayscale graphics and photos, you need to look at one of the Canon entry-level models, including LBP251dw. For lower ongoing monthly operating costs, consider making the splash for a stronger (and therefore more expensive) machine like the Dell S5830dn.
The bottom line here is that hl-L2350DW is good enough and print cheap enough to keep its own as a $120 single-function laser printer. If what you need is to extract as many as 200 pages of simple graphics and highly legible text each month, hl-L2350DW should serve the home-based or small office, workgroup or personal laser printing environment well.
